It does seem to mean a lot to the band because they got their ''Ordinary World'' moment of being cared about again by people who when not listening to YLAINE were listening to the Crazy Frog song.
It's always been a bit lost on me how they tout Your Love Alone as a career saving song. Could be forgiven for forgetting that that was their third consecutive number two single, but saying that Love Of Richard Nixon and Empty Souls aren't exactly Goal of The Month material and I don't ever remember hearing either of em on the radio.

Course, since then we've had Walk Me To The Bridge and Nicky's spoke quite openly about the lyrics refering to a point when he felt like he wanted out of the band.. Still, I think the solo albums and Past, Present and Future tour deserve more credit for saving the band, if there was a chance of em stopping. Got the impression at the time they enjoyed the smaller venues on the Past Present and Future tour much more than the arenas on the Lifeblood tour.. Was such a strange time to be a Manics fan, but saying that it pretty much always feels like they're in a state of transition. To me, at least.

I just wish the 2nd disc of the VINYL edition had the B-sides instead of the demos.

Seems like a weird oversight, actually.

Why would demos get put on vinyl over the B-sides?

Great album and one of my favourites. I quite like that it's only 34 mins and straight to the point. KYE is great, for example, but 75 mins long!

May buy this reissue but tend not to with reissues, apart from the Holy Bible in 2014 where I did.

Hopefully some SATT album tracks like Second Great Depression get an airing at some gigs this year...

Im quite excited about this. While I know it isnt the best manics album, it does hold a special place in my heart as its the album that really got me listening to them. Not sure if i like this swapping songs around buisiness though. Seems odd.

Can't wait for the segment on the dvd that will inevitably let the band shit all over lifeblood again for twenty minutes...

Glad this is real. I hope the downloads included with the vinyl are nice lossless ones, I guess we'll see...

The original version(s) with Underdogs as track 2 still exist people, no need to (ahem) freak* out.

And like the underdogs we are / Shining bright but now disappeared!

What happened to the signed editions? I've bought all the other deluxe editions signed but can't see this one. I'm sure it said in the email.

Pretty sure the signed ones sold out immediately, as they were probably only a hundred or two available.

Hmmm, oh well, I'll just have to take it on tour with me and get it signed. Hopefully no one throws a bottle of piss or beer at it while I'm minding it at the gig!
I can't believe it's sold out. Where has this popularity come from all of a sudden? I get that it's their biggest album but in the days of streaming and Ed Sheran I didn't think there was many of us left...or it's scalpers!!! Fuckers!!!

This would make more sense to me also.

Keep the demos for the cd package. Obviously the sound quality isn't going to be the same as the studio recordings, which, to me, defies the point of vinyl and the reason I collect it-to play it!

Apologies to eBay users who have a conscience, but most eBay people I've met are bastards!
I donated some large hardback Doctor Who books to Oxfam. For the good of the people who go and want to read more.
Up on eBay the same day with zero profits going back to Oxfam!
But this could be a thread of its own and nothing to do with the re-release in the thread title.
