No, unfortunately! Did want to go at the time though! Watched it on telly, with the build up and all that. They showed them setting the stadium up for it so that was cool!

If nothing else, it allowed us to learn that Gabby Roslin is (or at least was) a fan. Now the manics are also rans in the mainstream, it's all the nicer to be able to look back at a time when they could fill a stadium and feature in the BBC's Millennium night coverage.

They did kinda look rubbish, though. James and Sean's black formal shirts didn't look right then and they don't look right now.

Forever my benchmark for manics gigs!

I never went as I never knew any other Manic's fans not having internet back then, I worked at a private party instead and got £100.

10 years, wow. Well, seen as I'm not going out or anything I'm going to do what I did last new years eve and watch the DVD and drink some beers.

10 years ago I didn't really care much about the Manics and was too busy listening to Westlife's first album. Ah how things change

I got my photo taken outside KFC for a fanzine as I was in leopard print. Some girls covered me in glitter. I sat by the gates drinking vodka. Some guy was so hammered he threw his vodka bottle in the air and it landed on his head knocking him to the floor. I missed SFAnimals queuing up for a fucking Barcardi Breezer. Feeder were good. Manics were excellent. Toilets were flooded.

That's a good idea! Thanks for that - I'm gonna do the same!

Me? I hate this thread. Exactly 10 years ago we had been queuing for 16 hours and then...the gates...GAAAAAHHHHH. Worse Day Ever.
