Aye, that was a great one, as was O2 Academy later that year and last two Barrowland gigs. I usually stay over when I come to Glasgow, but this time I'm getting a coach to Manchester at 11:40, arriving around 4:30 in the morning. Urgh.

firewater is a bit of a trek from the barrowlands.
better off in the merchant city,mchuls,maggie mays,the libertine or the tollbooth.

Queen Street is the closer and easier to get to. They are only a 5 minute walk from each other and you more or less have to walk past Queen Street to get to Buchanan.

Would love to, but it's going to be a flying visit because the cat is old and poorly. I think we'll be getting there as late as we dare and leaving first thing in the morning.

Do Barrowlands allow a rucksack to be handed into cloakroom? Current forecast is 0 degrees So we have lots of layers to strip off and stick into 1 bag.

It's prime T-shirt and shorts weather for the people of Glasgow. You may get funny looks if you're dressed for the artic.

Not been in any of those, thanks for the recommendations, will probably head to one or two nearer doors. Do like Firewater though, had a well nice pizza in there last time. Oh and beer and jukebox I'm happy with too. Firewater has become a bit of a tradition for me and Nasal_Scarecrow over the tours.

It's still sinking in with me though... Tomorrow I'm going to see my favourite band for the 50th time, in a great venue performing my favourite album and god knows what else. Never even dreamt these gigs would happen but here we are.
