Oops. Forgot that I'd bid on a Japanese promo of Rewind The Film. Hope the seller's understanding, can't pay for it till Friday. Eh, at least I'll get Death Of A Digital Ghost on cd, not heard it yet.

This just struck me in a fit of attempted Archives of Pain chorus learning, but why in the lyric booklet of THB do the songs not appear in the order that they do on record? Is it just to make it even more difficult to sing along to?

Be grateful I didn't make it a thread but...

Lifeblood doesn't seem to work for me any more. The CD works fine. It's just I can't listen to it. Last night I dreamt of hearing "Fragments" so I decided to put the thing on to get dressed to. And I kept skipping tracks. A few seconds of this... a few seconds of that.
In the end I stopped the CD and put it back in it's case. And got dressed in silence.

So... Lifeblood isn't working for me now. Is it all down to context? I was there when it was crashing and burning in the charts and the whole of the UK seemed to turn against the band. And I defended it.

But now... it just isn't doing anything for me. Anyone else feel this way?
Have I got up on the wrong side of the bed and will feel better if I try to listen to it again tonight?
Can I cut my losses and just keep playing RTF instead!

I love LB and it reminds me of when I got my first proper job. There are a couple of songs I don't like but as an album I love it. And Repel Ghosts remains one of my all time fav tracks

But it is a COLD album

I may have expressed this before but the strings at the end of Black Dog are just beyond beautiful

Just seen this linked over on Manic Street Mania's facebook: Life Becoming A Landslide live at the Roundhouse

Can't believe they cut out the word pornography! Alright, I know what people find offensive about pornography but how is the mere mention of the word in a song that far from glorifies it offensive?! Did they cut out "If I can shoot rabbits" from Tolerate or "this happiness corrupt political shit" from Motorcycle? Censorship insanity!

A very very random thought:

there is a little of Motorcycle Emptiness in Are Mother Saints and a little of A Design for Life in Anthem for a Lost Cause.

Listening to Groundhog Days now. It has something from Ocean Spray. I think that song should've been included in KYE.

4 Ever Delayed. They missed a fucking trick with this song. It's so good, much better than The Love Of Richard Nixon. Should have been a single and put on Lifeblood.

ahahahahah. That's hilarious. It's far far worse with the word censored.

Could be quite an amusing game playing 'replace the missing word'. *goes to start thread*

I haven't got the gig excuse. I haven't listened to it since getting the MGMT and Paul McCartney albums! (It'll get more listens before Christmas though)7

And Paul McCartney's "Everybody Out There" is the closest he's got to the Manics. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fEd85CD7Kbw
