I have, it's a mediocre song.

Yep, plus it's genuinely funky, which is a nice change for the Manics sometimes. "Braindead motherfuckers" adds the edge though.

On the contrary that's one of the three songs on This Is My Truth that I don't think is drivel. The strings are beeeeautiful.

Interiors I love, but Australia I got bored of after about two listens. Don't like it live either.

I was thinking No One Knows What It's Like To Be Me has to be contender for this. It's the most overblown song in the world and James hasn't helped it's credibility by making the music sound as painfully melodramatic as the lyrics . I mean come on, "DOCTOR! AND DENTIST! ....NO ONE KNOOOOWS..." Oh God, Nicky, please stop.

Manics-wise, no.

So Why So Sad. It's the one and only song by them that I just can not listen to whatsoever.

Not even for the nod towards the Beach Boys?

It's well wank. I even prefer the Marilyn Manson version of it! Worst cover goes to Been A Son though. It's unlistenable.

I would dare to suggest that their version of Been A Son is better than the original.

No, I think they absolutely butchered Been A Son. But Pennyroyal tea was ace.

When I listen to Incesticide I'm actually disappointed to remember there was no slide guitar in the original! Pennyroyal Tea is ace too, but pretty straight.

Also, I think So Why So Sad gets too hard a time because it was (joint) lead single, and freaked people out from the get-go. If it had been an album track people would see it as an amazing gem of a song.

Which it is!

I dont think so. Infact the dislike for it as an album-track may be larger as its inclusion on KYE would then be confusing and difficult to accept (Locust Valley ffs!)
