Bearing in mind there's no real production costs (how much would a few days of remastering cost?) and that Nicky seemed to have done the donkey work a long time ago, how many units would they have to sell to make such a reissue financially viable?

Remastering would probably cost a few thousand, plus new artwork design.
There have been far less obviously profitable expanded reissue campaigns than this, though, so I still doubt it'll be cancelled.

Maybe the royalties from TUVL haven't cashed yet and it's part of the down-payment?

More seriously it's very likely to be a vinyl issue with vinyl waiting time being at least 6 months.

I think we can lay off the Vinyl issue for this release, they've been teasing it for two years (well one then they became conspicuously silent about it). Plenty of time to put it in a release schedule (Mind you Muse's new album seemed to have been to pushed to August for unexplained reasons). Judging by the fact there seems to be an enforced radio silence, I'm guessing there's a rights or contractual issue that has to be solved e.g. the record company trying to negotiate down the band's share of the sales. Maybe someone can prod Sean on twitter.

Might be looking to clear Reading 2001 as a video. We can dream...

Hoping the announcement echoes the KYE release from the official site back in the day. Some KYE artwork with the snippet from Intravenous Agnostic playing over it.

Although tbh I would take any announcement right now. Come on!

Isn’t this how the whole Napstergate started? Someone just changed something in the links of the clips and voila the full songs were found.

Maybe the hold up with the reissue is that they're trying to get hold of and interview some of the bands banned from Napster for uploading the album?
