On that point, has anyone's t-shirt + polaroid arrived yet? It's nearing a month since I ordered mine.

Mine haven't arrived yet! I think the site said dispatching from Nov 20 if I recall correctly?

Exciting! I hope it's Sapporo! Over time I've grown to think of it as perhaps their finest song since 1985 (only a few on JFPL come anywhere near it for me).

So what do we think the and will get up to in the first half of 2022. Will they take a break or use the momentum to do something interesting. In case the gods are listening, I'm hopeful to see a couple of striped down gigs. It would be interesting to see the band re-arrange songs on their setlist and play some small intimate venues. That or Nick and James take their solo albums on tour, fat chance of it but it will make for an interesting time. They could also perhaps revisit KYE and GATS but that doesn't look likely.

I think the best we can hope for is a couple of radio shows / acoustic gigs where they play La Tristesse and Let Robeson Sing. Probably a bit of chat in late 2022 for a 2023 album? |

Well if there's going to be shortages in time for Christmas, I feel we can rule out KYE reissue before the New Year.
I'd like them to spend another January recording new stuff, if they have anything. |

We definitely won't be getting KYE this year, vinyl takes a long time these days, even with major label backing, combined with it needing a month or two promo before release. If anything, I reckon they'll try and go for something vaguely around the release date for a 21st anniversary.

God I miss proper album campaigns with singles and b-sides. Wish they'd do a three track EP of stuff that didn't make the album. Or even re-release God Save The Manics on 12"!

We are still waiting on this section, it's gonna be badass. But while you wait perhaps you would care to peruse the lyrics for 'Underdogs' and 'Your Love Is Not Enough', from the album 'Send Away The Tigers'. |

These Dark Roads is possibly the most ABBA sounding song, and very few people will hear it

Listened in full last night, first listen through in a few weeks, and it sounded even better. These songs grow on you, stay with you, as their best material does.
The arrangements and melodies are wonderful throughout. A beauty. |

I didn't mind waiting for the signed poster as it was obviously a last minute decision to help get the album to number one and it worked. Now that it's arrived though it looks like Nicky printed the poster off at home using a low res jpeg which is a bit disappointing. Wasn't expecting anything glossy for £15 but I reckon I could've got a better quality poster taking a photo of the TIMT album cover on a Nokia 7610

My hearing might be going but there is a festival being held or compilation compensation album, but Still Snowing In Sapporo has been selected.
A video on Facebook of James getting this message across far better has been posted tonight. |
