I'm only in London but keen to learn if the gig will go ahead...I have a day off, a car journey and a hotel booking riding on it!

I was going to book my train yesterday for Cambridge but i'm going to leave it until Sunday.Nicky said James was still ill on the tv this morning so i can't see that this is going ahead.I don't think he will be fit enough for the 3 gigs that are left even if he starts to feel better.

This will suck if it's not on as I'm traveling all the way back home just for this instead of my mum's, sisters and little brothers birthdays which are all on consecutive days (it's not as bad as it sounds).
Still, I'll get some home made food, and a haircut so it's not all bad.

I've been in touch with the Corn Exchange box office who told me they've had no contact regarding postponement of Monday's gig and they expect it to go ahead.
It's right to be cautious though and I'll be checking so I can cancel my hotel room if need be. |

I can't see it going ahead either. Will take James a good few weeks to get better from his throat infection.

I don't want to dash anyone's hopes, but the venue won't be in a position to know at this stage. The band will want to leave it until as late as possible in case there's any chance the gig is going ahead. Unless an announcement is made postponing all the remaining dates (which tbh I think would be the best option really, as it gives James plenty of time to recover and then everyone knows one way or the other), it'll just be another case of wait and see on the day I imagine.

i hope they do decide to shelve the rest of the UK dates. Hope they don't make the wrong decision out of a sense of duty and end up making things worse

I agree! I would rather they make a decision to cancel the rest of the dates or postpone until early next year rather than them feel duty bound to carry on and risk James's voice being damaged for good. Also, on a personal note i'd rather know once and for all what the situation is. My husband changed all his work & travel plans this week so that I could go to Brixton - now he needs to make plans for next week but I have tickets for Cambridge and need him to be around to look after my daughter - he rang me today saying do I know whether it's on or not as he wanted to book flights for Monday if not and I could not give him an answer. I so want it to be on but can't actually face a whole weekend of waiting and wondering!
