Hang on, they've not actually committed to anything yet.

I'd like to see them do it, and they definitely have good reason to play EMG in full since its success meant so much to them. But if there is an EMG20 tour then I hope it's the last anniversary gigs they do.

Saying that, it wouldn't bother me if they didn't do it. It's none of my business after all.

Bands playing full albums shouldn't ever be a problem. Loads of bands make a habit of doing it, although there has been a rise in bands actually promoting an old album alongside a re-issue. Bands like Weezer, Primus, Jimmy Eat World and others actually make a habit of just randomly playing a record front to back.

I think there's always a risk of bands becoming "heritage rock" but to be honest, if a band is well known and happens to be a bit older, it's just natural progression. The Manics have always focussed their live shows heavily on older material anyway, so running through full albums from that era should work well.

As for Everything Must Go itself, I'm fairly sure I'm missing Interiors, Removables and Further Away from my list of songs I've heard live. The fact that there is such a wealth of other material from the time just means they could probably theme an entire gig around it. I would almost certainly try to get tickets for this, but it would likely be tricky as I can imagine a lot of people would want to go!

Considering EMG is Nick's favourite album, the chances of some form of EMG tour is pretty high. Plus now that James said they can play it will just add the pressure. (e.g. this thread!).

I think I'd rather see them just dust off the rarities and leave the album gigs behind now. But of course I would go if it happened.

They should do EMG and TIMTTMY tours. There's lots of tracks from both those albums that rarely get a live outing in the regular sets.

To be honest I'd go to any full album gig, aside from GATS or PFAYM.

Oh, aren't you just hilarious?

No. I was two years old and grooving to my Kylie cassettes.

Sigh. Would have loved to have seen it but at the time I was nine and didn't believe such a beautiful band could be in existence and to the extent of my musical knowledge, neither did Heavenly Records.

I would enjoy an EMG full show more than I enjoyed the THB ones, and I'm not even ashamed.

Seeing as Further Away and Interiors are their best ever songs, I'm up for this becoming a reality.

Not my favourite album but i'd go for an EMG tour for sure! Why would they even be teasing us with this information that they are having fun playing it in full if it wasn't crossing their minds to do it to an audience. They wanted to put it out there to see the reaction I reckon. I bet Nicky is reading this thread to see what we think - DO IT!
