Ok, here's the thing...I've become addicted to the acoustic version of Methadone Pretty that he played last week at Rough Trade. I can't stop watching Dan's video and I can't stop humming it in my head, and I'm quite frustrated cos the original version sounds like a totally different song to my ears and I don't like it
This is what you have to do (yes, I'm still talking to James): ditch The Everlasting (even tho I'm actually a fan of that one), and start playing Methadone Pretty during the acoustic break.

But yeah, over the last few years the acoustic section has been the bit I've been looking forward to most of a gig, it seems to be more open to change. Can't rule out an acoustic Methadone Pretty on tour, or Damn Dog but I'd love to hear both full band too. I wanna have my cake and eat it, obvs.

I agree! Though I'd actually like the acoustic spot to be failrly unpredicatble and cover a wide range of songs.
