Those Marcus demos are fantastic, I could moan that they didn't remix Stay Beautiful, but the demo makes up for it totally.

Anybody else find the booklet with the boxset a little bit odd ? The early lyrics to Motown Junk and 'new' song titles (broken up, bank account reality, confirmation that they did atleast play their cover of fight the power! Etc) are great but its almost all pre Gt, even pre Heavenly. It's great to read through but I was expecting a bit more about the recording of the album etc.

Exclamation GT 20th: About the Collectors’ edition box

Thankfully I received (in Milano, Italy) my copy of the box.

Who projected the box is not very used to them and to everything which happens to them and their contents: how should you order the CDs and DVD to have them in the best position? No one knows. One of mine got stuck under another (better than having them loose and shaking inside).

Yes, the print is always a little bit “rolled”. I would have preferred a six 12” sides poster instead.
I guess we can make a sort of poll about the conditions everyone received the box?

So: you buy the vinyl: no lyrics.
You buy the Collectors’ edition box: no songs lyrics.
You buy the Legacy box: lyrics yes, but images too small.

Well, Glyn is quite right about the booklet.
But maybe they assume that you just want to watch the DVD? Wrong assumption, but we cannot correct it.

In the end, I have the feeling that the best thing of the all venture - other than the music (I like demos anyway) - are/were the prices for the Legacy and Collectors’ editions. But this is not enough.
They could have done a Legacy 3 CDs and DVD edition, while the Collectors’ should have had also (other than lyrics) a proper book and vinyl and CD of the radio sessions (kind of an official edition of the If You Want Blood … bootleg).

My feeling? Expect another book which will include more of the “paper contents” we’ve seen here.

Best to all

S.

I'm baaaaack.
Here's my 2 cents:
- Another beautiful object
- Remastered album was very much-needed and sounds lovely
- Some of the demos are well-worth having
- How many times are they going to re-issue b-sides?
- The DVD documentary is very interesting indeed.
- I assume the videos for Natwest and Repeat were made by Patrick Jones? I say that only because they're absolutely fucking wank and demonstrate only a rudimentary knowledge of Windows Movie Maker.

Cheers, I'll disappear for another 12 months now x

Is the album actually remastered? I hadn't thought to listen to it.

My box has finally arrived today but I haven't listened to or watched anything yet.I just opened it to see if everything into it was safe. I'm a bit disappointed about how the cd/dvd are positioned.Anyway can't wait to hear demos and watch the DVD

Wow, the Tennessee demo is a straight rendition of Tennessee's gone and I get low! How did I miss that first time through ?
