Of course it is! (now you've pointed it out…!) Updated.

I was never all that sure about that verse at all, if anyone else has more suggestions for the blood of something or the something BBC… ?!

Great stuff.

I think the line in 30 Years of War you have as 'sober world we're in' might be 'so bewildering'?

Yeah, I think I had the first one as something like that earlier, but neither is satisfying me right now. It's doing my head in. lol. To me it sounds like 'That ever edded fwaine' which isn't proper words!

Does anyone else have any suggestions for that line? Anyone listened to a lot of Cate Le Bon?!

I think the second one crept back in during a bad pasting or something as I thought I'd fixed it before, or maybe not. Thanks for pointing it out anyway though Donkey.

Yes! Another great catch there, I agree your suggestion sounds more accurate than mine, cheers The Torture Garden

Hopefully not too much longer until we get some official lyrics anyway now.

Those are details, you've made an incredible job, Porco.
4lonely roads seems fine to me now.

I don't know why

The cities drunk....

And we're there :-)

Thanks.

"I don't know why/where/when" ... I went back and forth on a lot. lol. I'm sure I'm hearing a hard 'n' in there. Maybe it's just her voice. And 'why' does rhyme with the earlier lines, 'high' 'reply'... so there is that.

As for "The cities/city's/cities' " ... it's writes/rights/rites all over again! All three can make sense, I went with a singular city_is contraction (city's) as if *it* were drunk and mute it might logically be lost in the pursuit... ? But you could just as well argue for the other variations. There are 4 roads, so why not multiple cities, right?

hmmm. It might help if I knew more about what it was all meant to be about, though I find it intriguing.

Anyway, am currently away from the Pig-cave (and my good headphones), I'll have another listen later.

I don't know if it's James' infamous pronunciation or if Nicky's invented another word, but I keep hearing 'I must embrace bore-alysis' on Builder Of Routines.

What are the 3 ways to see despair? The song never really explains them to me in a way I can understand. Does it even try? I think not.

I'm still hearing "I don't know when" In 4 Lonely Roads, sorry Donkey.

I'm not sure that actually means anything though… Where do you think you read that? I'm pretty sure it's "busted flush". It's a cards term. But it is a tricky one to hear, I didn't get that one, it was 'Been Natural' in the Rewind The Film (track) thread who first suggested that.

To be fair he does say he's "scared to say".

It's a reasonable point though, but until we hear what it's supposed to be about in more detail there is the fun of interpretation

Again, do have a read of The Quietus Track-by-track which gives at least some general pointers.

I have my theories that I have started writing up into a stupidly mammoth essay. I think I may be obsessed with this album already.

yeah, im not an english expert and for me too is hard to find the real meaning for that line. I read it in a lyrics page but now ive found another that says its "But now I am just broken flesh" so i don't know....
