In other news - what is it about Cate le Bon's voice which just knocks me out?
It normally takes me an hour or two to get off to sleep thanks to my annoying brain, but the last two nights I've got into bed, put RTF on, turned off the light and am wide awake until 4 Lonely Roads starts, then...........

It's morning.

I can't even remember the song getting to the messy twinkly wobbly bit last night. It's just anaesthetic for me.

On the subject of 4 Lonely Roads, Nicky Wire you been practicing! Nice bassline, way over the skill level of Nicky Wire of old. Love it (if I can stay awake that is).

It was actually JDB who 'slapped da bass' on that particular tune. Probably explains why it sounds a little more, erm, advanced than our beloved Wire's usual bass lines, bless 'im

Seriously?

Damn you and your ridiculously good music skillz JDB. I thought Wire had been getting gud. That's just cheating to let Bradders take over. To those who've seen them recently - what's it like live (and of course who plays?)

The more I listen to 'Rewind the Film' the more I think of it as a song sung from beyond the grave. It feels like a funeral or death bed song.

My feelings exactly.
Remember that meme about ME went like: 'Play this at my funeral. OK kid?'
