People that have been to this kind of thing before, anyone know how long they last/could hazard a guess at when it will finish? Is it as long as a normal gig?

Got time booked off work to stay over on Sunday, then go off to the record store on the 8th getting there for doors opening time to get the CD and wristband. Then the next day check out the hotel, and go off to the signing!. Have to go home the same day for work!.

Still, looking forward to it, and do hope Rough Trade don't rush their signings along like HMV do!.

doubt it. They seem much more relaxed. If it was hmv i wouldn't bother going

Same here, as soon as I hear a band I like are there, I totally avoid it and wait for the tour and hope to meet them there!.

Just need to stay near the record store now!, much easier getting there for doors opening time etc.

I'm going too with a friend who's a big fan and used to post on here. What do you actually need to get in? The order reference number and card you paid with I guess? Can anyone confirm this?
