They totally do, and I feel ashamed for not having really noticed until now. But then they make up for it with songs like Yes.

Most of the lickspittles who post on Albini's forum wouldn't think twice about snorting an entire bathtub of his cum and fecal matter, given the chance.

Maybe this site/forum should change its name if so many think repetition of a lyric/title is so terrible… it's even in two songs!!

The last time i saw them not counting hb gigs it was noticesably/especially bad....only 1 song without a repeated title chorus, and it felt a bit like karoke

Motorcycle Emptiness
You Stole The Sun From My Heart
Walk Me To The Bridge
Your Love Alone Is Not Enough
Everything Must Go
P.C.P.
Europa Geht Durch Mich
A Design For Life
Revol
You Love Us
Tsunami
Futurology
Show Me The Wonder
If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next

Notice a pattern? The vast majority have the title in the chorus. So what?

Not sure why you seem to be taking it so personally , I haven't seen anything you've written that convinces me otherwise. Yes, songs repeat choruses and titles, but the manics do it a lot. It's a fairly obvious observation.

I agree, the majority of bands that have ever existed have done it. I notice they didn't include
"Patrick Bateman
We are babies crippled in Christ
Patrick Bateman
I fucked God up the ass
I fucked God up the ass" Or is that not repetitive enough?

And so do lots of others. So I don't see the big deal.

Just look at Killing Joke, for example. Their first album:
1. 'Requiem'
The requiem
The requiem
The requiem
2. 'Wardance'
A war dance
A war dance
5. 'The Wait'
The wait
The wait
6. 'Complications'
Complication
Complication
7. 'Change'
Change

I don't really see what other people doing it has to do with it, but there we are. Personally I think the manics do it a lot, and it can be boring or repetitive live occasionally.

It's actually 'in Australia'. The difference is subtle yet important.

I'm with Porco. Isn't it a genuine classic element of songwriting to have the track title in the chorus regardless of how many times it's said or in what way? I'm sure if it was the other way round and the title barely features in MSP lyrics then they'd attack them for being too artsy and pretentious, a la their criticisms of THB. In other words, get the fuck out.
