If you could interview the band, what would you ask them...?

Hi everyone. There is a slim possibility that I will be doing a phone interview with the Manic Street Preachers this month. I have questions lined up about the Holy Bible reissue and US tour. As for other questions, I'd like to get the input of other fans. What would you all ask the band if you could do a phone interview with them? Also, what would you NOT ask them, that is, what do you feel has been addressed too much by other interviewers?

I'll post updates about the interview as I receive them. Still waiting on word from their rep if it's going to happen.

Don't ask about Richey going missing, this must be upsetting and they must be fed up of answering about it.I would ask"Is there any well known person you have met that didn't live up to your expectations",and who are they"?

Good luck, hope it goes away.

I'd like to see them asked if they'd consider doing whole album shows for any other albums, aside from THB and JFPL, and if not, why not?

I suspect there would be a substantial audience for GT, EMG and TIMTTMY performed in full. The other albums might have less widespread appeal.

I'd like to ask for their stance on the work of the Frankfurt School.

I'd also like to ask them what it means to have fans progress into academia, since I'm one of them.

Who they'd most like to collaborate with on a track. If they'll be voting in the elections and who they'll be voting for.

James once mentioned he'd like to get into writing a film soundtrack and if this is something he's still like to do.

This plus young people in general going to universities. What their thoughts are on the difficulties of the working class low income families funding going to uni and if they'd actually recommend opting for university when there's no guarantee of a job (plus massive debt at the end of three years) vs. modern apprenticeships. They can talk about libraries at this point.

If I may, I think to this they may remark that education is not about getting a job at the end of it. It's being pushed that way, students are being treated as customers, but I'm not doing an English degree with the promise of a job. To learn is in itself beautiful.

I agree, that's why I went to uni myself. Not so beautiful is being stuck in minimum wage jobs for two decades afterwards with debt recovery companies breathing their foul breath down my neck.

If I had my time over (...) I wouldn't have bothered and just continued self educating myself. It's free.

I'd ask why Nicky's stopped wearing dresses. A bit frivolous, I know...

Coming from a working class background, do they agree with the opinion that the working class are now all middle class?

I would ask why they feel the need to keep dissing Lifeblood and would they still do it if it had sold a million.
