I think outn of those 6 albums only one will stand the test of time and that's Journal. Uno and Send Away the tigers are enjoyable but the other three... no gracias, I'd rather have disc 3 of sandinista

I'm wondering if Futurology (the song) is any good as a studio album track? I listen and listen and listen to the live versions and I can't hear anything of greatness in it. It just comes across as a bit meh.

Apparently they nailed it last night in Manchester, so I hear.

They got it just right in Manchester, it's an amazing song, just needed a bit of encouragement/

That's being generous. I actually like a lot of the PFAYM b-sides and think that AHATS is one of the worst things they've ever done.

Seems more like a couple of coincidences to me.

Elephant in the Manics room but...

For those who've gone to the gigs this year, what has the age range of the audience been like?
I'd make this a thread, but I feel it's best asked in this one.

I don't have a problem with the band becoming "Adult Orientated Rock" but I don't think the band would be happy.

Aww! They sound lovely! Well that's one thread I'm glad I didn't make in retrospect.
I'm happy this is the band people seem to have grown up with.

EDIT: And they clearly keep coming back for more!
