Unless this post gets deleted. It's not their houses, but I love it's exclusively theirs.
So do you think they'll keep the mixing desk that Pink Floyd used?

That's not it, you've linked to Ash Cottage in Rhyl, not Newport. I had a look earlier myself but you can't see the front because Google Maps doesn't actually show the street as such!

Pretty cool for the band to be recording in Newport soon I love caerleon, a beautiful place - hopefully Nicky can find inspiration here.

Don't know if this has been mentioned elsewhere but in Sylvia Patterson's book I'm Not With The Band: A Writer's Life Lost in Music, she gives a whole chapter over to her encounter with Richey for Smash Hits, with the famously unprintable 'don't do it kids, don't get past the age of thirteen... kill yourselves'. I've never seen the rest of the text before.

Just 10 pages into the book, she also illustrates her emotional nature with a mention of a later encounter with James, with her sobbing over Richey's fate and a frustrated James telling her 'you've never developed a second skin... you're worse than Richey!'

Maybe also James in Cardiff in 2006, now lost in the fog of memory....

Don't know if linking to downloads is permitted (?), but there's one for this book as an epub/mobi here: http://www57.zippyshare.com/v/UcIuSL5q/file.html

Mojo magazine in Ask Fred

Who is the supplier of the sublime female vocal on The Last Time I Saw Paris bonus track?

Fred says: The Manics management say the singer wished to remain uncredited, which is why have kept silent about her identity. Sorry about that! Speculative candidates include Cate Le Bon and German actress Nina Hoss, but isn't it a novelty not knowing?

That's interesting. I just imagine it's James' wife, just because she's French

I agree, that is what I will believe until they deny it or tell us who else it is. I do quite like the mystery of it now tbh, in a daft way. Great song, whoever it is!

Add the fact that the song kinda does sound mysterious too....
