I have no idea so...just curious. it's not like wikipedia is 100% accurate. :/

Hmm, some of them really sound 'unmanic'.

But the one thing I learned over the years: never judge Manics songs on their titles before you actually heard them. Please remember:

These scream someone taking the piss - making up generic manics-y song titles. I am super cynical as a person in general, but I just don't think these titles fit. Will hold my hands up if I'm wrong, but it looks like a wishlist of titles from someone hoping for the sort of album they probably WON'T get.

It just seems like someone trying to think of a Manics song title and coming up with that, plus it doesn't really fit in with the song titles we do know.

Maybe... Perhaps deep down I'm just in denial that they have written a song with as bad a title as Magical Conspiracies or She Was Called Special.

Why does a song with a animal in the title have to have anything to do with another song with a totally different animal in the title? If they called it 'Donkey's II' then you might have a point, but it's not. It's 'Zebras'.

To paraphrase Prof. Farnsworth: "Zebra's aren't Donkey's! Quit messing with my head!"

I see where you're coming from, but it's not like they don't have form for weird titles. I think it's best to a) write off a song based purely on the title and b) judge the song(s) before you've heard them.

I really can't understand why you think it's so out-there, or so self-referential. It's just another song title, the fact they previously had another equid for a (b-side) song-title doesn't exactly scream "recycling" to me. Just like how Underdogs or Black Dog on my Shoulder weren't sequels to Damn Dog.

Perhaps they've just been listening to Beach House?

I called fake as soon as the first track made me think of the first track on TIMTTMY.

But, you know, they recycle musical ideas so you can't put recycling title ideas past them.

It's just the name of an animal.
I'd be very very suprised if the two are linked.

Joy Division had a song called "The Eternal" i think, would not suprise me if the manics took reference from that.

Think it's probs a fake tracklist though!

Tish it's not worth continuing arguing about but I think the Manics would be aware that it sounds a bit like Donkeys and as such wouldn't call it that.
