I wrote about Camden, which was for me, very unusual, and probably the least enjoyable since the first "Lifeblood" show. Not because they were bad, they weren't, but because it brought too many memories of the 1994 shows.

This was my favourite night I think, although I don't really have any negative things, beyond a minor quibble or two, mainly about the second set, to say about Dublin or the other London date I went to.

The friend I went with was odd company though. He was my best friend through school and my first Manics fan friend, and was always someone who threw himself 100% into gigs and obsessed over every detail for days afterwards. Additionally, The Holy Bible is his favourite album, and he hadn't seen them for 13 years. Imagine my astonishment to see him stand at the back, drinking and talking with the casual fans throughout. Very surprising. Either way, I loved it. James sounded back to good health and they were powerful.
To the dark side your friend has succumbed. Tragic this is.
