Next Single from Futurology?
So what does everybody think will be the next single?
I think Divine Youth or Misguided Missile would be good as Singles, if they bring another one that is |

Nicky mentioned that Misguided Missile was a "solid album track that some people would skip" so doubt that's going to get a release.
I hope it's Next Jet To Leave Moscow, most catchy and solid song they've done for some time. It would make a very good single too, not too long in length.

Every song on the album is great to be honest, not to keen on "Dreaming A City", Next Jet To Leave Moscow does sound likely or Futurology.

The title track surely? It was written to be a single, U2 fans would probably like it.

Most of the songs on the album are pretty catchy and as the band have always stood by the single I think there will be another. Futurology would be my guess but really could be any besides the instrumentals. SPLAM would be epic but it's a bit of an anomaly...^and not No 1 material!

SPLAM could be remixed by some Ibiza-based DJ and it would get to Number 1, certainly sounds daft enough.

I said it in the SPLAM thread where it was ignored by everyone but to me SPLAM sounds like the pop shit you get in the charts with the shitty throwaway lyrics. I'm hating it more with every listen.

I don't think SPLAM would be a good single, maybe Futurology? Or The Next Jet To Leave Moscow...

That would be another good one, I reckon it's between Black Square and Futurology.

Releasing the title track with Nicky on vocals in the chorus would be commercial suicide! Oh, you're right, it's too late to worry about that now!

Haha in the end I think you want to release a track that is fairly representative of the album (or at least very catchy) so why Futurology would be a good choice imho. I was joking about SPLAM and maybe I shouldn't see it this way but I'm not looking at it too seriously, almost as a bit of fun when it doesn't seem to fit in with the rest of the album. Don't think it's pop shit but I do understand where you're coming from FacelessSenseOfVoid. Anyway I'd also be very happy if they release Black Square.
