I don't think that's true. Lifeblood was sailing reasonably well at the time, and they reissued the album. They played a ton of holy bible songs on the PPFT which went down really well. I don't think the ratio of hard core fans:casual fans has changed much since 2003 anyway.

Yes Suede did that with their 3 first albums in London and it was so great.

Just listened to a Q awards interview with Nicky and he said there could "a Holy Bible re-issue" next year. Hmmm...could entail anything though.

Yeah, there is one on youtube's manicsVevo account, or I remember watching it on the youtube.

A 20th Anniversary re-release of an album we already got a 10th anniversary re-release from would be taking the piss, especially considering how erratic their re-release plans are in the first place. There isn't even anything to add anymore beyond the three b-sides (which god knows should have been on the first re-release to begin with instead of some throwaway radio sessions) so the bonus disc would probably be desperate as hell if they didn't want to recycle any of the material.

I seem to recall it's thought that "who's saying" was put in the lyric sheet as it was thought that listing it as "Hussein" would be too dangerous.

Don't forget "and manicstreetpreachAAAHS" the 2nd time around

I've just listened to it again and it does sound like Hussein!
I've never heard that before!! Makes sense in the context of the song - I had the CD when it came out and obviously the 'who's saying' bit in the lyric sheet has stated with me!
I'm not sure how I feel now knowing that I've had the words wrong all these years

Can't see why Husseins name would be anymore insensitive than usin any of he others though?!

A very recent Gulf War at the time, and folks from his neck of the woods tend to bear a grudge.

Exactly. I know all bands (well, record labels eh) like to do this, but if there's a 10th, no need to do a 20th unless there is something radically interesting to put out. Truth is the only one left that legitimately needs the treatment, in 2018.

I think with the rise in streaming, people will only give these a cursory listen anyway in the main. A remaster of a remaster from 10 years ago would seem very silly. A complete remix, maybe.

If they were going to play it in full they should do it balls out 3 piece same as Journal For Plague Lovers tour. Hearing Ifwhiteamerica in 2005 with extras was just too tame.
