I think Masoleum is the hardest to sing of all of the Manics' songs I've heard so far, and I think I've heard almost, if not all of them.
It's difficult to remember lyrics + literally breath taking mellody. As soon as he starts that "regain your self control" he keeps going on without a pause until "your meaning".

I wonder to see how our uncle James would manage to sing it these days... It's hard even for me, a 24-year-old non smoker. Not a professional singer though...

that's a good idea. I just want to hear die in the summertime really..though will be annoying if they change them over the tour and you miss the song you wanted to hear

I think it's more likely that they'll throw in a load of (the easiest) songs from THB and JFPL to go with the Futurology tour, as they've made a point of saying it fits in with that canon.

But THB in full... It would be amazing. I'd study the lyric booklet every night XD

They've said how hard they find it even doing Faster now, so this doesn't look likely. I would expect a couple of THB songs thrown into the set though due to the "post-punk" chat around the next album.

I'd still never be able to sing the chorus in Archives Of Pain.

Editions and throwing stuff into tours are fine, but they did all this for the 10th anniversary...I don't really see the desire to do it again. After all the other albums have had 10th and 15th anniversarys and not really seen much. It's also the 10th for lifeblood etc.

After listening to Wire in the Maida Vale gig I'm pretty sure there will be a 20th anniversary edition. Would love to see the old letters and postcards and notebook stuff between Richey and Nicky.

To be honest, I'd trade the band admitting they'd struggle and then ultimately deciding not to do it, for a full DVD of the Astoria shows. Be great to see that era in full force rather than overdoing it in 2014. The time to do the full play through was 2004.

Wasn't that just someone with a camcorder? Won't be good enough for a proper DVD

There is an "Ireland" and a "Sutcliffe" in there somewhere too. I know that much.

How James is going to do all that live now I don't know!

I disagree with the 2004 comment. In 2004 their stock couldn't have been lower and the 10th anniversary (as far as I remember) was a fans' only thing and not widely promoted.

Now in 2014 Manics are Radio 2 royalty and a 20th anniversary edition would get promo far and wide thinking how much promo they got for RTF. In many ways it would be a 3rd promo cycle within 12 months and would lead in nicely to their usual autumn/winter tour shows.

As I said above, stick in a vinyl (or 2), live footage, ALL demos and B-sides, 7 inches or CDs of the singles, a new DVD maybe with unseen footage, the notebooks and letters and stuff that Wire mentioned in Maide Vale, put it in a shoebox and people here would around £100, maybe even £150 for it - about 3 (or 4) times the price of a gig ticket.

That's from memory and the spelling I probably shocking!!
