I'll be at the Dublin gig, yea. They always put on a good gig at The Olympia. I'll probably be in Brogans before and after for some quality Guinness.

I was at that Lifeblood gig Dec 04. It was the day that the 10th anniversary HB was released. Not the greatest gig in the world but not the worst neither. Definite highlight was PCP with Nicky throwing down his bass, lifting the white mic stand and leaning into the audience growling the final outro verse.

In theory, that sounds like it would ruin the song! But whatever, I'm jealous. Never seen them play it.

Foggy Dew has a rather nice guinness, and it's on Dame St.

Before last week i would have agreed with you, but i was in there and had a few very average, watery pints of Guinness. Eventually we went to Brogans(right next door to Olympia for anyone heading over for the gig) and had some nice, thick, creamy pints before heading off to bed.

From Despair To Where
Faster
My Little Empire
A Billion Balconies

Stay Beautiful
If You Tolerate This

Suicide Alley
It's Not War

Hopefully they won't feel the need to finish with A Design For Life... They haven't recently and didn't on PPF tour.

i do like the pre-tour "let's compile a setlist" metality that sweeps this forum :-)

here's my tuppence worth:

found that soul
further away (no introduction, just sean counting 1, 2 then dum dubba dum dum on the toms)
motorcycle emptiness
pcp
all we make is entertainment
send away the tigers
sleepflower (would actually prefer roses here, but seeing as they insist on allowing the tuneless duo to do backing vocals in the verses, i'd rather they not bother playing it again :-( )
suicide is painless
masses against the classes
mausoleum
doors slowly closing + all is vanity
nobody loved you
1985
epicentre (hell will freeze over first, but i've always liked this song)
your love alone is not enough
no surface all feeling

tolerate (acoustic)

archives of pain (ppf tour style)
suicide alley
it's not war
slash n burn
stay beautiful
design for life
motown junk (sweet child o mine + baby love intro)
you love us (complete with both heavenly AND sony outros)

25 songs is longer than usual, but seeing as the tour is only very short, i don't think it's unreasonable to expect longer sets. pleeeeaaaase.

A very harder rock-orientated setlist Gallafield! A good one though.

Look lads in all seriousness this mini tour is not going to shift a shed load of more albums. Yes the Postcards single will get airplay and a decent critical response but this tour is being seen by the old fans as a tour for them. We're not asking for a full B-sides set or for you guys to just play the Holy Bible every night. Here are our not very demanding demands:

1. Play the songs you've twitted every night (LBAL, FTS, PCP, Marlon etc)
2. Don't end with DFL (preferably at the top of the set or acoustic)
3. Play Comfort Comes FFS
4. JDB: Play more guitar. We love it.
5. Wire: Have a few drinks. You deserve it.
6. Mix it up a bit
7. Play YSTS if you have to but make sure its as good as the Blackwood gig with all the trills
8. Nobody wants to hear SKON - I know your hero sings on it but its cack. Acoustic version on RTE radio is good though
9. Def no Autumnsong FFS
10. No need to shout the name of the tune before every single tune.

Thanks.

1. Yes.
2. Totally agreed. Open with it, really blow our minds.
3. That would be mint!
4. Agreed.
5. Also agreed, he can say more silly things about bands he hates then!
6. Yes.
7. Or, just don't play it. Then that takes out the problem of having to play it like in Blackwood.
8. No point worrying about this, they are going to play it...
9. That should read "Def no Autumnsong EVER"
10. Now you are just being picky.

I'll suggest a couple:

1. If you are going to Play Roses In The Hospital (awesome song) don't let those tuneless backing buffoons do the verse!
2. A Billion Balcolnies Facing The Sun.

I'm guessing that there is absolutly no chance we'll get anything from Lifeblood
