That snippet in no way represents the entire song! There's quite a bit of variation in the structure for once. It's a rocker for the most part.

The shouty chorus reminds me of the Jackie & Joan bit at the end of Jackie Collins Existential Question Time.
I think it could have fitted on Journal For Plague Lovers no problem, certainly musically.

It's amazing. Can anyone else hear the massive Definitely Maybe guitar part in there (most noticable in the intro)? It could have been lifted straight from any Oasis song.
