Anything half decent in the city appears to be ridiculously expensive for that night. Staying in the suburbs somewhere and using the Nitelink to get back might be the way to go.

Got into the Beresford that night, bed and breakfast, double room for £110 which seems grand. Extra tenner for parking mind but its only a 20 min walk from the Olympia

I'm touch and go to get to this gig now after a flare up of a condition I have. Arghhhhhhhhhhh! I missed the GH Dublin gig in 2002 because of it as well. The irony!

Does anyone know how long it takes to get from the airport to the Olympia by public transport or how much a cab would cost roughly? I'm worried I might be cutting this one a bit fine to get there in time.

How much time do you have? I guess a cab is the fastest way in, followed by the Air Coach or 747s as they are express buses. The cheapest option would be to get a Dublin Bus. The 16 bus will take longer but leave you 5 mins from the venue. That option costs about 3 euro and should have you in in about 45 minutes.

I'm planning on getting the aircoach. 11 Euro return and only takes 25 mins to get to the city centre.

Cheers both. I haven't been to Dublin in quite a while so that's great info. Flight lands at about 6:30pm, I'm probably just being paranoid.

Quite understandable. I'd continue with the paranoia if I were you. It stood us all in good stead when it came to purchasing these tickets on the stroke of 9am!

My paranoia is buying an E-ticket for 153 Euro from a third party site that still isn't availble for download.

You'll be grand. You won't be waiting long at all for either Dublin Bus or Aircoach, and the venue is very easy to get to.

Really really stupid question but I have never been to a MSP show in the UK or Ireland before...but would I have to queue really, really early?
I guess Morrissey shows ruined it for me with some fans queueing at 6 am...and as much as love the Manics or Moz, I am just too old for that or simply not willing to do that haha.
