I liked how they came back out after doing the THB set and they were in different clothes and James said 'Hello Dublin' as if it were a different band playing the THB set.

Holy. Fuck.
What an amazing gig. My body aches, my mind is shattered and my throat is fucked. What a band, what an album. This is Yesterday was a particular highlight for me, probably the closest I've ever been to crying at a gig tbh (hey, it's been a long year!). Disappointed not to hear 1985 but, even though I dislike Postcards the album, the song itself is fantastic and it went down really well. And like a few others have said, Manics shows need the likes of You Love Us, Tolerate etc, the place went wild for those. Picked up a nice grey religious tee as well. Also lovely to meet Rich, Chloe and Donna before the gig. I say this every tour, but I really need to go to more dates. I'm wrecked. Time for bed. |

1985 was on the setlist ( someone caught a pic of the sound desk) so a little disappointed it got missed out.
I'll never go to a Dublin gig again. The crowd was so apathetic for the second set. Could barely hear Divine Youth over the chatting. Not a scratch on the Glasgow crowd.... |

Pineapple - I presume you were (like me) standing near the left entrance - just behind the last 'barrier' - there was a constant barrage - indeed the Intense Hum Of Evil came from whoevers arse it was :s - disgusting like.

(actually I've just remembered it musta been Lifeblood so these 10 years have passed pretty quick to me o_O) - there was much more energy or something in the crowd. At the very start though with everyone singing along to Chemical Brothers Faster Remix - that was boss. For me I hoped (although it was probably ridiculous), that I would get Comfort Comes, Judge Yr'self and Sculpture Of Man in the second set, but alas I didn't.
