Yes to Future Of The Left. Or Therapy?, although that's unlikely

Fingers crossed for Savages.

I think they'd be more likely to support Savages...

Given the band's previous form, it'll be someone seen to be a bit 'out there' and 'cutting edge' but in fact is really bad, whose set gets very little response, and then promptly fades off into oblivion someone.

Clearly I have not had a good experience of Manics support acts.

i have never heard anything by them but all the evidence i have at hand says that i really, really, really want this band Toy to support.

if they do support, i think i will be swinging it so we get tickets for at least one of the gigs a certain member here is going to go to, just so we can stand and watch him enjoy them.

He's going to loads of them. It would be hilarious if he go to see Toy that many times!

does this Toy thing have a CD out? i think if we chipped in and arranged for Nicky to receive a new vacuum cleaner with one of their CDs sellotaped to it every day for a week we would get the right result.

the more times he sees them the better, really.

Just putting this out there as an "off-the-wall" idea, but I can see them announcing someone like Charlotte Church with her current leanings into moody/indie/experimental vibes.

Her latest EPs (imaginitively titled) "one", "two" and "three" have actually been quite an eye opener for me and I am developing a bit of respect for her. Not sure it would be the manics' style to have her along, but stranger things have happened…

Toy are brilliant, they have a new album called Join The Dots out and it's great, they're quite similar to The Horrors.

I hate that last bit, because yes, on the face of it they are, yet I love The Horrors more than most bands yet hate Toy, because Toy are so clearly a cheap imitation of The Horrors. It's telling that the best song on the new album is the first track, because it's the only one where they don't try to sound like The Horrors.

They look bored as hell when they play too.

Well, Nicky loves them, but it might be quite a weird choice given that they've supported before. Who knows?
