Surprised that Liverpool isn't a Nicky vocal

So you got yours already? Would really appreciate any lyric corrections over on the RIF lyrics thread, especially the Broken Algorithms ones I've had trouble with... (especially the first line and the one I marked with question marks).
These are the lyrics I noticed at a glance. Mostly minor.

Vivian
You walk these streets

Sequels
A blue screen for a tribal horde

A twist and a turn towards apocalypse

No stranger to the scars (2nd time only)

Platforms for corrupted brands

In Eternity
Closed the curtain in L.A.
Opened them up on a Berlin day

You placed a light on a different universe

Broken Algorithms
These are the real sour times

The plague our wisdom somehow made

So why return to these words again

I walk through traces of my past

They carry memory long and lost

The pieces fill the space and all the holes

ASFT Sadness
One more time in the ghetto you say

PS. This is the middle 8 they cut from ASFTS. I think it works better than the solo and Nicky has written much worse that’s ended up on albums...

A pilgrimage, a grain of sand
A vain attempt to understand
The failure that age will always bring
The compromise, the endless blink

Memories are all that we leave
Dancing like the less deceived
Dancing along for you and me
Dancing forever if we believe

Now this is where I come unstuck with no lyric sheet because there could be at least three errors there thanks to JDB’s pronunciation. Possibly the last deceived, dancing alone, etc.

Concrete Fields has a lot of lines so I can’t be bothered with that one!

PS. I don’t think these are all demos. Vivian sounds like the exact same vocal with different instrumentation and In Eternity sounds like something you’d hear on a radio session. This isn’t a bad thing at all. It’s the best CD2 they’ve done.

Thank you very much Dancing Kirby! That's fantastic. "Sour times"! "They carry memory long and lost"! Those were driving me slightly mad!

I wondered about Vivian's walk/work too... off to the lyrics thread I go...

Hmmm, I'm glad they are still using strings but its always the same format which is boring.

This feels like an out & out INDIE POP RECORD, I'm about 6 tracks in, no way Rock. Personally no stand out track yet. Liverpool Revisited is arranged well.

I think I've worked out the difference between EMG strings and the PFAYM type - broadly, the EMG ones are often quite minor key and dark, and PFAYM/RIF ones are out and out major key, enforced happiness

The various "woah-oah-oahhhhh" sounds are a new, er, songwriting technique known as the "millennial whoop"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MN23lFKfpck

Now that's an attempt at mass-communication

I’d been aware of the technique for a while (you can’t really avoid its omnipresence) but only discovered the term for it a day ago while reading through the comments of this new Chvrches video.

https://youtu.be/fAAAZqFmDfA

It immediately makes that song’s chorus sound like everything else too and will surely be the quickest way to age your songs.

Yep. My email came through at about 4pm.

Hopefully it’ll be here tomorrow. I’m sure every other release since JFPL onwards has arrived a day early.
