I met two in my two attempts at college. One was completely mental, insisted that she talked to all of the Manics on MSN, Tsunami was about her, and that Richey was living with his gran in Scotland, but only the band knew about it.

The second was nice but a bit quiet, and I never really got to know her before I had to leave.

My friends have just realised i'm a ridiculous fanboy after i sang along to 'the everlasting' perfectly in front of them and i'm now also recieving friendly abuse. It's great though to be teased knowing that I'm right.

last week I got from my MSPfriend a huge box of posters, photos, articles, lyrics and all that stuff everybody on this forum would be very happy. among these there were few local fanzines and today I read one where girls were giving their thoughts about the band. it's incredible, this fanzine is 8 years old and all those feelings I have even now! like "where can I find The Torture Garden", "the best Maniac-inspired film" (for me Rumble Fish and American Psycho), "how do we love Nicky" and finally "where is Richey". I haven't read any elder fanzines, but I'm sure there a lot of such descriptions of feelings about the band, like exciting when you bought something leopard printed, when you got cool book, when you had great dream and finally when you saw the boys on stage (best moments of being fan).

blah blah blah.

They know it! They'll have to admit it one day! In Edinburgh went to a sports bar where they were doing karaoke and a bloke sang Starlight by Muse. Kept hoping a Manics song would pop up but unfortunately it didn't.

It's a crime that a manics song isn't on singstar or guitar hero or something, maybe people would die trying to match JDB's power.

Yeah true. Trying to imagine something like Design or YSTS being sung in a Scottish accent! Would've been interesting!

i met 2 lovely Giner/Red haired Manics fans tonight at the Young Knives gig, although they were there for the Rakes!

I noticed the I Love Nicky Wire badge and just made conversation with them.

One of them used to be on here by the name of 'bubbles' i think, Finn banned her in Feb/March of this year!
