This will be my YouTube highlight of the year. If it makes it to it.

You're on!

I really shouldn't read this board at work, I'm giggling like a loon.

I think they have a band on while they number crunch the votes.

Nicky in a frock, please. * insert pleading smiley*

I don't know what the show is, but this looks like it could be gold. I'm jaded. I need something different for the holidays.

If they don't all wear sequined ball gowns I will disown them.

I have no idea what this means. Will they be dancing? Will Sean be in a tux? WILL NICKY BE IN A BALLGOWN?

Whatever happens, it's absolutely classic Manics.

My wife told me that James Blunt was on Strictly last night so I guess they do have 'bands' on. I can't believe it myself but this is the sort of promo they should have done with the first single.... bit late for fucking mass communication now!!!!

This is bound to have a boost on sales of the single, and probably the album too, so I can't say that I blame them at all for doing it. Would be great if they could subvert the performance in some subtle (or not so subtle) way at the same time though.

On a more minute personal level this is an absolute disaster as I'm always ripping the pee out of Strictly when anyone I know wants to watch it/has it on! Some humble pie for me to quaff on Sunday. You bastards MSP! . If I was in their position, however, would I do the same thing and perform on a show like that? You bet your sweet cheeks that I would! Very much in keeping with the whole 'The band that likes to say yes...' ethos from right at their beginnings, too.

I wonder if they're going to be Brucies "favourites..." too after Sunday.

I don't watch it,I hate shows of this ilk. My mum watches it sometimes on a weekend when there's nothing else on.
It's very good exposure for the band though indeed,it's a hugely watched show, somehow, and will hopefully help shift a few copies of the new single and album. As always lots of people are moaning already at the guys. Come on, they're on TV, something we haven't seen much lately! I'm pleased with that.

I wish they'd do something spectacular on there but it's not going to happen, is it?

One way or another, my respect (or whatever you want to call it) for the Manics will die a little bit once they've done it. So they may as well destroy their career in style.

Strictly Come Dancing? They'll be on the fucking lottery show next. Or doing a butter advert.

Glad they are doing it.
I personally never watch it, but obviously will watch the boys.
They have always done things people don't expect, and why not? I think it's brilliant
Another chance for me to see my favourite band and that makes it a nice surprise
