Well they really went to town on the 7'' artwork didn't they? So for those of us who haven't been keeping up - it's something that's not on the album is it?

Suppose anyone would be up for sharing some popcorn kernels? (I foolishly order my copy from an independent record store, yes I am such a horrible person)

Wait, you're telling me that there's a track you can only listen to if you buy the album from a particular retailer? Strange, hopefully rectified by a future record store Day release...

Just got through my first full listen, absolutely beautiful album, love it. Santiago Sunrise gave me a similar feeling my own latest track did, which was nice. Yay for musical sunrises!

I’m not sure which my favourite tracks are yet, I feel like the stand-out moments stand out more than individual tracks so far. Some of the spacious guitar sounds on this were just amazing.

And James’ comments about not trying to write a hit single on this felt both evident and hugely refreshing. This might have nothing to do with the next Manics album, but I would love them to take at least that one aspect on to it.

Everything arrived from everywhere ordered fine.
Don't know what to do with the bonus tracks ...having them just sit on a laptop or phone feels like I don't own them ....assume it's a one time only download so if it corrupts unlucky me. Don't suppose it matters but would've preferred a cd ..even a no frills one like the 7 inch

The 7” is the best artwork since Rewind the Film or SATT

I know what you mean. Make sure you backup the Zip in a few places. The download is actual CD quality though, so if you burn them to a CD you kind of have an unofficial disc 2 to the album.

Edit: Listening to the demos... wow. Was only expecting some iffy acoustic versions - but all of them are really great, interestingly different alternate versions. Loving the strings on TCAW demo.

Well the Boy From the Plantation demo obviously went through a massive 'bin it and start again' process

It's interesting how JDB can do that. Other songs I seem to remember him doing it on... It's Not War Just the End of Love and Bag Lady
