Yes, I think we know that, I posted those in my main lyrics post relier in the thread, but it's more about trying to get the translation into German that sounds anything like the actual vocal.

Not speaking German, I was using Google Translate and that gives you 'Geister erscheinen wie ruiniert Schlaf' which doesn't sound like the right phrase when you listen to the words, so one assumes it's something similar rather than an exact word-for-word translation.

No apologies or embarrassment necessary, you were only trying to help!

Any new vids of this song from Glasgow or wherever? I'm gagging to hear some more performances of it now. Mighty, mighty fucking tune!

I'll be chilling tonight and watching 'Barbara' on Blu-ray. I love that after all these years the Manics can still inspire me to check out new films, books etc.

When James said Nina Hoss was in Barbara it reminded me that I downloaded off iPlayer ages ago and hadn't watched it yet, so I did so. It was good. She was excellent.

I was close and I'm addicted to zoomy zoomy on my camera. You will be able to see up Jamesy's nose.

Could only be topped if they did a video featuring Daniel Brühl!

The German verse is definitely my favourite verse in terms of lyrical content. And it just sounds so good in German.

Apologies if this has already been answered elsewhere but what is the English translation of 'Europa Geht Durch Mich'? Google seems to think that it's 'Europe: By me'. I only got a D in my German GCSE but I wondered if it was something like 'Europe Passes Through Me'?

Yes, Europe Passes/Goes Through Me. Sounds bloody odd in German, too.!
