They cannot go on strike until March the 1st, which is ok for anyone flying north for the gig, but not me who is facing the possibility of a long haul itinerary being totally screwed up because of it!

Ticket and booking fee/postage: £32. Transport to Glasgow Airport from home and vice versa - £40. Flights to London - £70 minimum. Transport from airport to venue £???? lets just say £20, guessing it's probably more as all the airports are a fair distance out of the city. Accommodation - possibly £19 if you can get a cheap travel lodge deal, otherwise £30 minimum. Food: £10. Total: A lot more than £130.
i'd say flights £50ish

i got the mega bus from (central) london to glasgow for £10 ok i had to spend 10 housrs on a bus

I did actually check this on the Easyjet website and the cheapest Glasgow to London flights on the day of this gig (yes I know the gig's in Glasgow but I did it vice-versa for comparison) were £70.

Bugger spending ten hours on a bus though, fair play to you for doing it but I'd rather spend 10 hours locked in a room with Fordprefect.

Irish Air Traffic Controllers went on strike on Wednesday.

Ryanair, Aer Lingus, BA had to cancel all irish flights, Ryanairs website said 'due to overpaid and underworked IATC's'.

Excellent! Here's hoping all the Scottish fans, particularly those in the Glasgow area, are set with tickets before anyone else. It's only fair.

Have fun, kids!
