I imagine that's just a mindless mistake.

I thought I'd heard Nicky mention it on Radio2! But I just assumed I'd missunderstood and that he said on the same day as the cup final.

Ooh, interesting. KO at 5pm though, and the time stated there is quarter to seven which would be normal doors time for the CIA gig. I expect it's a mistake, but since I'll be at the HC final I live in hope!

I hope it's true. I've got tickets to the HC final and the Manics playing would be brilliant-twice in a day

yeah but doors doesn't mean anything. The manics won't be on till 9....hard to see how they could move their gear, but in terms of themselves, it would be feasible. Maybe James with simple gear setup?

Well first off at that time it would be after the match has finished and it's unlikely they'd fancy playing to an empty stadium after a rugby match that involves no Welsh teams. Secondly the times on those websites is only ever a general doors time, and since it is the usual doors time for a CIA gig it can only be a mistake with the wrong venue listed.

Yeah it must be bollocks, and even if they did it'd only be another mimed thing like they did before Wales v Italy in the football in 2002

The aforementioned mimed appearance was probably the loudest I've ever heard the Manics, bizarrely. Eardrum-shattering.

was it a full miming or just strings and some stuff added? did James do singing or not? it makes me sad to be honest.
I once saw them with extra strings at that Eska event, but James was surely singing as he mistook lyrics in tolerate, typical James eh?
