Looking at this list, it seems they're not very good at album closers!
I'm going for No Surface All Feeling because while PCP is the best song, NSAF finishes an album better. |

As a song, Cardiff Afterlife. As an album closer, SYMM.

"There's nothing I wanna see, there's nowhere I wanna go"
Maybe not the best song of the lot, but the best ending in my opinion |

Went for Cardiff Afterlife, but would also have chosen PCP, No Surface and Condemned To Rock N Roll as well. Dont Be Evil has really grown on me as a closer as well, especially the little bass riff right at the end, that denotes the album is drawing to a close.
My order would probably be: (Joint) 1st place. Cardiff Afterlife / PCP 2. No Surface But All Feeling 3. Condemned To Rock N Roll 4. Don't Be Evil 5. Freedom Of Speech 6. Winterlovers 7. Williams Last Words 8. SYMM 9. Gold Against The Soul

Quote:
"i think i'll go to sleep and wake up happy" "at the time it felt like dreaming" "an ocean wave to death babe" "gold destroyed destroyed the soul" "how can you sleep at night" I went for Condemned to Rock n Roll - a true lost classic. I reckpon if they recorded a new version of that it would be an amazing song. Some great lyrics and guitar and I like the sentiment and the irony... "condemned to rock'n'roll?" - no chance! they split up after this album had sold 6 million records "there's nothing i wanna see, there's nowhere i wanna go" as mentioned - excellent ending line to a career. But perhaps the point is that the last song should be a mellow depressing track, the final 6 or so tracks of TIMYTMY seem to mellow down gradually to a full stop. |

Ironic that PCP is probably the rockiest most lively final track, given that it appears on the most depressingly uplifting album (and in my opinion the best) The Holy Bible, while the others seem to be more depressing and slower...

Probably Richey's best line and very un-Richey.
