I pretty much had a heart attack after the first 2 chords. Never heard it live before.

Also gets my vote for best manics gig of 2007.

Yes, isn't it? I have no idea who took it (thanks anyway), it brings back memories of that brillantly funny finale of the gig.

It was an intense atmosphere for all three gigs although James did try and lighten the mood wearing a Santa hat. And then off course on the final night they trashed the equipment. Richey kept hitting himself in the face with a microphone stand which was unerving to watch. Sean did look really pissed off but then he often does!
Oh you are a lucky man! *jealous*
Thanks for sharing your experience! Really enjoyed reading it.

I think I have the gig from the 20th but it's pretty poor quality. What I would give to have been at any of those shows.

*sorry thats not entirely relevant to the thread I just like quality listing gigs*
I probably wasn't clear in my post - I meant from the seven I went to. The Barrowlands one does sound good from the recording though.

However, The Astoria had Die in The Summertime Speaking of which - I think I might have to remaster my recording. Listening back to it now, it's got far too much mid range in it for my liking...

Oh, yeah there are many reasons why I dislike the Astoria. Not really relevant to a Manics thread so won't go into details. But when I put my beer down on the bar to cheer the Manics as they came on the stage then turned round to pick it back up again the arrogant bar staff had removed it! I rudely told them to give it back to me coz I was only clapping the band on then I ran off toward the squash at front.

21.12.1994: ---
(in S&V there are audios of all three concerts)

I do have a video with two of the gigs, stated on the cover as 19.&20.12.1994, but because I haven't watched it recently, I can't really say if that's correct.
I've got a video with the first two gigs. Only footage I've seen of the third was on the Close Up documentary!

Awful place, good gigs.

It had Mike Patton's blood spilt on it so I consider it a Holy ground.

Sorry, didn't make it clear. It was definitely Brixton. Thanks for putting it right.
