The first 7 did, if the setlists on msppedia are right. Anyway, it's not that important - give or take a song the gigs were all about the same length. Soton was about 1hr40.

Sorry, yeah you are right, I edited my post But there is no way that any of the gigs were 2 and a half hours long

This thread is great...it's reminded me that I would absolutely LOVE to hear Baby Elian electric.

A return for Stay With Me would also be awesome, and Further Away too as for me it's the great 'lost' single that never was (yes I know about Forever Delayed). But then I say that about Interiors too. Now there's another I'd love to hear again.

Jeez. I went to see the Killers tonight (they were fairly good, not bad but not amazing) and it just made me so long for May 17th!!!!!!!! The day I see MSP for the 16th time.

ADFL up early would be cool, so long as they finish with You Love Us. It's a fitting end to the gig, and for me it's what they should always end with.

I like the suggestion of "To See A Friend In Tears" as part of the JDB acoustic. An acoustic opening to "Archives" would be amazing too - the highlight of the last tour for me - but highly unlikely because it was done last time. "PCP", "Die In The Summertime", "This Is Yesterday" are likely off of the Bible because they were absent in 2005.

So combining what I'd like to hear, what I have heard before and what's realistic:

Found That Soul
I'm Just A Patsy
From Despair To Where
Australia
A Song For Departure
La Tristesse Durera
*New Single*
Faster
Tsunami
Kevin Carter
Die In The Summertime
4st 7lbs
So Why So Sad
------------
To See A Friend In Tears (Acoustic)
This Is Yesterday (Acoustic)
------------
Motown Junk
You Love Us
No Surface All Feeling
PCP
Judge Yr'self
Autumn Song
Yes
The Girl Who Wanted To Be God
Tolerate
1985
Motorcycle Emptiness
Of Walking Abortion
Stay Beautiful
A Design For Life

Something like that! Obviously there'll be a lot more SATT but I'd like to hear most of the above songs.

Question Master of Procrastination

Managed to find a fantasy setlist I put together in 1998 in a copy of a fanzine, bit lazy so used that as starting point thinking it would be easy to expand on (how wrong was I ??)

Ended up with about 60 songs I'd like, so have tried to cut it down to a springsteen esq 2 hour (ish) set of 30 interchangable songs.

I even failed with that reaching a total of 34. Well Nicky has now said it will be worth every penny so I'm milking it.

So these are the things I'd like to see over the 5 dates that I'm going to, Only managed minimal non album tracks, but cut back on singles they've been playing for years. Have also saved half an hour by not fitting in Motorcycle.

Please god no 4st 7lb, or (worse) intense humming .... I know they don't want to do solo stuff but do you think we could get away with a friend in tears as it's a cover anyway?? God I talk too much, so here goes -

1) Masses Against the Classes/ Firefight
2) Sleepflower/ Yourself
3) I'm Just a Patsy
4) Faster/ Judge Y'rself
5) No Surface/ Elvis Impersonator
6) Slash N' Burn/ Loves Sweet Exile/ So Dead/ Methadone Pretty
7) SATT 1
8) Grace of God
9) Emily/ Glasnost
10) This is Yesterday/ She is Suffering
11) SATT 2
12) Tsunami/ You Stole the Sun
13) Song For Departure/ I live to Fall Asleep
14) La Tristesse / Despair to Where
15) Die In the Summertime
16) Autumn Song
17) Empty Souls/ 1985
18) Yes/ IfwhiteAmerica...
19) Girl That Wanted to be God/ Enola
20) SATT 3
21) Archives of pain/ Of Walking Abortion
22) Solitude Sometimes Is
23) Nobody Loved You
24) Stay Beautiful

25) My Little Empire
26) To See a Friend in Tears
27) Bored out of my Mind

28) Your Love Alone
29) Little Baby Nothing/ Life becoming a Landslide
30) Tolerate
31) Design For Life
32) Train In Vain
33) Motown Junk
34) You Love Us

I am rather amused that most people on this thread think that the Manics will do 30+ songs every night and include only about 4 new songs! That wouldn't say much for their opinion of their new album, if that was the case.

Did you not read the entire thread?

As we haven't heard the new songs, it was suggested that we could leave them out of you wanted.

I for one enjoyed seeing them play 4st7lb live. Can't see the problem with seeing one of the greatest songs ever played live! I hope JDB voice holds up with all these long sets on the way. It was knackered by the time they got to the last gigs of the previous tour in London.

Well now,
I haven't heard much of the new stuff yet (only YLAINE, Underdogs,
and the 2 live tracks from December), so I can't include any songs
from SATT on 'my' setlist really.

But this could be very nice:

01 Ifwhiteamerica...
02 1985
03 Empty Souls
04 Slash 'N' Burn
05 La Tristesse Durera
06 Are Mothers Saints?
07 If You Tolerate This...
08 A Design For Life
09 Repeat
10 Of Walking Abortion
11 P.C.P.
12 Die In The Summertime
13 Judge Yr'self
14 Revol
15 Archives Of Pain
16 To Repel Ghosts
17 Solitude Sometimes Is
18 Cardiff Afterlife
19 Condemned To Rock 'N' Roll
20 Gold Against The Soul
21 Motorcycle Emptiness

22 Hibernation (acoustic)
23 Donkeys (acoustic)
24 Born A Girl (acoustic)
25 Small Black Flowers...(acoustic)

26 The Intense Humming Of Evil
27 Patrick Bateman
28 Little Baby Nothing
29 Ready For Drowning
30 4st 7lb
31 Faster
32 Yes
33 Stay Beautiful
34 Motown Junk
35 You Love Us

Yummy yummy.
