I am listening to new album now. Very progressive influence in that. Love so much. Musically, mixing is very deep, I am not even talking about the lyrics they are very emotionally. I hope the next manics album will be in that direction.

My inner Kryten has advised me against downloading apps on this device.
So it'll have to be a trip to the stores tomorrow.
MASKS will be worn!

This one is going to grow on me.

As I'm not generally a fan of instrumentals on albums I think that colours my judgements a bit. However I'm aware of the quality of musicianship involved but it's just my personal preferences coming into play.

The stand out tracks for me at the moment are Recuerda, The boy from the plantation and The Last Song.

The Last song has so much going on!
It's a bit Manicsy, The Beatles and even I swear a bit of James Bond - You know my name from Casino Royale!

After one full listen I'm pleased.
After a few I know this is going to be bedtime listening for a good few weeks.

I'm not sure if there's anything to build on for the next Manics album and that's fine by me. This should be a standalone thing.
It's a beautiful bonus for us in a really weird year so it's quite comforting.
And It led me to the Netflix documentary which was pretty good. I admit I had never heard of Victor Jara before, so well done James.

Any sign of the demo downloads yet? Sort of assumed an email would come through at midnight

You can really tell James had fun making this one. There's the freedom of failure here that exists on the better Manics b-sides, and luckily, there is no failure. This album belongs in the Truth, Lifeblood and Futurology vein, and if the next Manics album follows suit, I'll be quite pleased.

At first listen I really like it - Under the mimosa tree reminds me of 30 year war strangely.

Without knowing the end has more than a hint of She Sells sanctuary, doesn't it?

My thought was it sounds like She Sells Sanctuary covered by 80's REM!

There’s a large dose of 7 Chinese Bros. in the riff.

Speaking of which, Without Knowing The End has a new YouTube video with a superior extended intro. That seems to be a theme with this album. WTF. EIE needs a directors cut.

I'm annoyed, so it's out today and usually when I've ordered upcoming albums on Amazon they arrive that day or day after, but my order says it's arriving next Tuesday despite using a Prime trial! I'm gonna cancel the trial now as not impressed one bit

The signed insert is within the shrink wrap on both the vinyl and CD

As such, I can confirm it has been signed, sealed and delivered
