All of Rendition

The horrible chorus lyrics of Misguided Missile

All of Valley Boy (one of the worst songs written by anyone, never mind worst Manics lyrics)

Misguided tweets etc.

SOCIALIST SERENADE (see Valley Boy). The final line is so bad, it makes me want to listen to Skrewdriver.

Adam Ant did a similar anti internet rant on his last album, brilliant song too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNoU3MDMsvo but there wasn't a murmer about the lyrics on his forum, maybe it's an age thing.
I don't think the lyric is about that. Given the context of Stow Hill I think he's attacking internet activism, or slacktivism as it's been referred to recently. I think he's comparing the Chartists with what passes for dissent today. I don't whole heartedly agree with him on this, he's conveniently ignoring the role social media has played in Egypt for example, but he's an ageing Luddite isn't he.

That's the best chorus in second half of Futurology, imho.

He's gladly stopped doing this and that's one of the reasons RTF and the new album had in their favour.

The entirety of "Intravenous Agnostic". Utter bollocks from start to finish.

Great music though, which somehow makes it even worse.

I really like the lyrics in Royal Correspondent!

The Convalescent has some silly lyrics too, thought the music is fucking kick-ass.

Uneven and tidal all with exit policies
Followed by anti-ballistic migraines
And Brian Warner has a tasty little ass
Scared of cash machines and the Mardi Gras

Agreed on those two lines, which is a real shame from my view, because the rest of that chorus is just beautiful..
"Look up to the skies, avoid the casual litter, running from the pitiful nihilism"
Bloody love that.

Typical MSP really - flawed genius and beautiful imperfection.

While we're at it, what is a 'misguided tweet'? What constitutes 'sad Facebooking'?

Does Nicky mean 'sad' as in 'unhappy' or as in 'you need to get a life mate'? If so...

Misguided tweets are any of the ones from Nicky that mention Jimbo.

Likewise SPLAM contains the lyrics "We could have been heroes, but failure is more fun" (great) and "Upload your future, download your past" (shit).

Back in the day (to show me age possibly) prozac was thee designer happy drug - Elizabeth Wurtzel had written Prozac Nation it was thee happy drug cure all. Didn't resolve anything but numbed the pain manufactured the happy or at least the numb. It was perfectly fitting & apt

I er kinda like this lyric too.....the image in my head is of a fox ever curious and wild suddenly stopped and taken by surprise just staring unable to remember....for me personally I like that image....but in my bizarre head I do have foxes mixed in with Ted Hughes The Thought Fox

I don't like Royal Correspondent though

"And Brian Warner has a tasty little ass"

A) Marilyn Manson - just no.
B) My mate's dad was called Brian Warner, and was middle-aged and beardy. And I had no interest in his arse.
