We can probably work out how many copies Nicky's album sold going by who bought it on here. I bought 3 copies (including the Japanese edition). That must make up at least 10% of total sales.

Well, being a Manics album it's obviously one of the best albums ever. The stupidest one I got was a Turkish cassette

I know Nicky said once FD was their biggest selling album. Can't think where I read him saying that though?

Forever Delayed? Wouldn't have thought so.

Or maybe it had spent the most weeks on chart? But then again, wouldn't it have to have sold loads to spend that much on the charts?

Can't even remember how long it was in the charts for. Shocking!

FD hung around when it came out in 2002 for about 12 weeks if I recall correctly, and it's always been a steady seller every year since then, although only creeped back into the top 100 in early 2008 (due to the Godlike award no doubt).
Truth is their best selling album by far.

I find it strange to think that This Is My Truth outsold Everything Must Go and Send Away The Tigers, they're both miles more radio friendly.

This Is My Truth hit Sweden soooo hard (well, sold Gold)...I remember it being no 1 a looong time, and also the singles If You Tolerate and You Stole The Sun.
Know Your Enemy reached no 7 here.
oddly enough, the only singles, except the ones mentioned above that hit the charts were Suicide Is Painless, Your Love Alone (well, maybe not that odd) and So Why So Sad.

According to Nicky on the Design For Life documentary, GT sold 500,000 copies worldwide, I think FD sales were somewhere along the 1.5 Million mark in the UK. I think its common knowledge that EMG is by far the biggest selling in the UK and TIMTTMY is the biggest selling album on a worldwide scale. If I was to hazard a guess I would say we are looking about 10 Million worldwide with the vast majority being from the UK, Ireland and Japan..

..complete guess though, hope this helps

Truth sold a lot on the back of Everything Must Go though, Truth was also very mellow and brought in a lot of older fans.

Yeah, true. Still, I'm sure loads will have started at Truth and worked backwards too, like I did. I kinda think of This Is My Truth as a fairly unlikely hit of an album, compared to Everything Must Go. It's more experimental, and I'd hazard a guess that the average person is gonna have an easier time relating to A Design For Life than If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next

Truth wasn't actually the first Manics album I bought. It was EMG! *shock! horror!*

I am shocked. Also, good to see you've changed your avatar to a tiger. Does this mean you're ready to switch allegiance to Hull City now?
