I'd take that over GATS, KYE or PFAYM any day of the week.
Not complete bollocks and I argue that everyone of the singles released from the albums you mention are stronger than every bside on your list.

Demonstratively not true unless you believe the band are retarded and would sabotage themselves by releasing obviously stronger material as bside. Just not true.

Why is this sort of personal comment necessary? Please cut the personal abuse.

My Manics B-side playlist (about 25 tunes or so) is the best thing on my iPod.

It's cool, nerves and everything are always heightend around the time a new album comes out.
I can't wait to be buying it in the shops and think it'll not only give them a second number one album, it'll be their best album since THB, and I'm even prepared to accept a possibility it could be their best album of all.
That's mighty high talk! But I genuinely feel this.
Shame the single release got fucked up though.

B
They have admitted that Welcome to the deadzone should've been on SATT but wasn't ready. It's all opinion ..at the time they put the songs they thought were best on the album. They've probably changed their minds 20 times since then. I prefer a lot of the b-sides to autumnsong. In fact i prefer complete silence to autumnsong
