Was your first gig during the KYE (2001) tour?

I'm noticing something of a trend from people posting their gig attendance, I wonder how many of us forum-generation types (ie the ones who didn't just skip straight to Tumblr, or grow out of it in the days of BBS) first clapped eyes on the band in 2001...

Got me in one (although I'd wanted to see them since 1998 but it never happened until one of the Brixton Academy dates)

Yup, though I wish I'd see them earlier. Didn't really get into them properly until 2000.

Yeah, my first gig was the first of the two Apollo nights. Got properly into em around 98 but could never afford to see em before KYE.

Yeh second Brrowlands date, and the last of the tour if I remember correctly. Got into them in 1999 when they seemed to be the biggest band around, but couldn't get a chance to see them untill then. Cracking it was too.

Yes, one of the Manchester 2001 gigs. Should've really been the Millennium gig which fell through for me, or sometime from 1996 onwards, but I wasn't as interested in music then.

Yeah, I first saw them in Manchester '01. Wanted to go before then but couldn't afford Manic Millennium and could only get seating for the TIMT tour so decided not to go (wanted my first time to be standing). My parents thought I was too young before then.

2007 at Barrowlands. I always liked them but was never as big a music fan pre 05/06 as I am now so never went to many gigs.
Do remember a mate of mine making me a copy of Know Your Enemy in 2001 though around about the time of my exams.

First time for me was Wembley 1998. A close friend of mine saw them on the Holy Bible tour in '94 and I remain eternally envious. He also saw Guns n' Roses in '91. Anyway, back to the point of the thread - yeah it seems there aren't many people round here that saw them back in the day anymore...

Yes, but only cos of geography - I'd been hanging out to see them since the early 90's so it took a while!

Damn, I go to bed and we're winning and I think I have a point, now I'm not so sure. It's still a big number for that one year though, when there's 11(-15) before it and 8 after it (as no-one's seen them this year yet).
