It's ok, but yeah it seems as if they did it just to recapture THB sound. I tend to skip it alot really.

I like it. Similar intro to Archives Of Pain as said earlier in the thread.

Its the best track on the album imo and the first song I've gotten excited about in a long time. I'd like to see MSP taking this direction with their next album tbh....

Would love to have had it on THB, think it would have gone really well. Love the accoustic vid clip of it too, shame it doesn't exist so it can be downloaded as a full track.

'Bag Lady' is excellent and should've been the last song on the album proper. Whoever said that they should've replaced 'Pretension/Repulsion' with it though needs a fucking smack. Take 'Williams Last Words' off in favour of 'Bag Lady' is you have to take a track off...personally don't see why it couldn't have been a 14 track album.

William's Last Words is a hugely important track to the album though and Wire was very keen on the idea of the album being a 13 track album to match that of The Holy Bible.

If anything VSEC should have been taken off in favour of Bag Lady. I do think Bag Lady does work as a bonus track though, where as VSEC would not. I love Bag Lady (Actually one of my favourite Manics songs) but I think JFPL works like it is.

Yeah, it's not a bad song to be fair but I personally don't think it stands up to the rest of the tracks on the album.

Ah true, but I think the title track fits a little bit better on JFPL than VSEC.
