I was there, so as usual it`s at the forefront of my thoughts today, being the last time i was to see Richey. But the date that I really detest is the 15th of February, the day I found out he was missing.
By the way tomorrow of course is Richeys birthday and also the 7th anniversary of Joe Strummers death, miss them both intensley.

Though each new year passes, both of them and their achievements remain high and valuable in the minds and hearts of the many they both reached. That is what will always matter.

Snoo was there. Unfortunately the closest I get is looking at the ticket stub that's in a frame in the hall of our flat.

To be fair you were 11 at the time!

Its really weird but I can remember it really clearly. It was my first manics gig so a bit of a baptism of fire!

Are you sure its not the 20th. I would give anything to have the 21st on video, but it never seems to have made the light of day.

As far as I know, they guy who recorded the first two didn't get the camera through on the third night. I remember reading that somewhere before.

the one on the 20th is great though especially when james guitar breaks and richey keeps playing and not too bad i might add

I've seen brief clips of the very end when they all smash up their guitars etc. I think it was used as part of an early video for DFL or something.

Nope! There is no fan footage of the 21st show in circulation. There are snippets available of that show as seen in the US 'Faster' vid (end portion of the gig shot from a backstage angle) also various docs about the band, but I'm not sure if the entire show was professionally filmed. I should imagine that if it was filmed, it would have been released by now.

So jealous that you were at the show! Man, if I lived in Britain, I so would have been there! Foiled once again by geography.

I concur.

Not been in a very Manics inspired mood for a long time now, and I'm not as Richey fanatic as I used to be, but this thread brought tears to my eyes...
