A year ago today I was getting excited about seeing the Manics at the Birmingham NIA! I wish it was 2007 again as well! Where's my time machine?

Edinburgh, a year ago today, arriving at the hotel to be told that there were too few guests to justify keeping it open, so they'd upgraded me to the sister hotel across the road, which was very posh and incredibly comfortable, meeting Jay (Jack Parlabane), spending an hour in the pub with some wonderful people, watching the Manics at the Corn Exchange, dancing to Ghosts of Christmas after the gig, Nicky repeatedly mentioning his wife after the gig when I asked him to sign something, getting on the wrong bus with a very nice young woman from Yorkshire and having a lovely bus driver take pity on us and take us to the terminus so we could get a night bus back to Edinburgh, spending the night in a four poster bed in a luxurious hotel room, and having the best scrambled eggs ever for breakfast. What a great trip. I can't wait for the next tour.

I'd also like to go back in time so that I could ask the name of the wee Scottish girl I got chatting to in the queue at Birmingham. Was her first Manics gig and I made sure she was able to get a good view near the front as well as stopping this random bloke from trying to nick our place!

No, I was there. The year just seems to have gone too fast.

I know, scary! Can't believe it's two years since I saw James on his solo tour as well. That night just went far too fast!

It's been two years since the back-to-back nights at Brixton academy. I can't believe it's been that long already! It feels like it wasn't that long ago at all.

I think I prefered the show on the 12th, but both nights (and the last night in Brighton) were all really good. Excellent sound in the academy, and my recordings came out really well which is always a good thing.

Coming up to two years since Birmingham NIA gig 2007. Wowzers!
