The NATIONAL TREASURES Gig, One Year on...

So a year ago today was this monumental gig.

What do you remember fondly, and what ruined it for you if anything?

Good night all around for me

Loved TBTGOG, hated security!!

It was OK, but I have to be reminded occasionally that it happened. Would be uneventful if it were a gig in itself if not for the showcasing of some of the lesser played tracks like Revol, So Why So Sad, The Love of Richard Nixon etc.

Still left wishing they'd get rid of all the glittery tat on the stage but I liked the trees.

Revol and Stay Beautiful were the two songs that stood out for me.

Also, Shug recognising me because of my mum, me being quite scary and recognising Karen and Lowri in the toilets and also meeting lots of others from here and twitter

I thought it was a great gig, my first concert. At times when not all the crowd knew some songs like Indian Summer it was peformed brilliantly so that you would still enjoy the peformance and then got the crowd involved brilliantly like Motorcycle. My favourites were design for life, love sweet exile, postcards and motorcycle emptiness. And atmosphere was really good for a gig at the o2.

Wow, the year has flown by. It was a great gig but gutted it'll never recieve a dvd release. A trick was missed there completely. I welcome all things manics related but I think I am ready to hear some new music from them now.

Had a great time. The double whammy of Revol and Nixon was my favourite part.

Still listen to the bootleg of the gig whenever I have a long car journey.

Revol was the unashamed highlight of the night. Fourteen Manics gigs over fifteen years and I finally got to hear it live.

Not everything worked, but definitely one of my favourite gigs of all time.

I thought it was a great Manics gig as well. It was a landmark gig in their career despite how apathetic the cool Manics' fans might still be towards it.

Highlight cos getting 2 rows from the front.

Lowlight was getting the shits while travelling home.

Glad I went to it. Revol and TBTGOG stood out for me.

Still surprised that Robeson and Revol ended up being my favourite songs of the night

Can't believe it's been a year. Great gig. I was second row Nicky's side. I had a very tall young man in front of me. Loved every minute of it.

I started thinking about it yesterday morning: at this time you were on the plane, at this time you were on top of St Paul's cathedral, at this time you were walking through Hampsted Heath with your friends, at this time you were at the O2... Great days!

Most of all I liked Revol, ME, You Stole the Sun, James screaming "Happy fucking Christmas" at the end of the gig and his sailor suit.

I didn't like Nixon that much. There was something too loud, may be the keyboards, that seemed to cover all the rest and James's voice. I had the same feeling in Cologne and Zόrich. I didn't like people leaving during ADFL and all the people around me coming and going to the bar. Unfortunately I was sitting in a very upper tier so I was practically the only one screaming and shouting all the time, while people around me were very quiet. I wished I was in the crowd with the wild ones!

I took the Thames Clipper to the O2 and I remember my heart stopped for a second when I finally saw the O2 and "Manic Street Preachers" written with neon lights. This was a great moment.

Ok, I could go on for hours so I'd better stop.
