The Sound Of Detachment

Bloody good, aye it? Definitely one that might be taking the place of something on the new album when I inevitably end up doing my own tracklist for Futurology. It's got a strong sense of the motion that Nicky has been going on about in interviews recently. Love the blending of the guitars and the synths.

Also - some very nice bass work from The Wire.

The title reviews the song.

Oh, fuck off DK. Your "Manics are shit" routine was old back in 2009.

i find it much more KYE era b-side than Lifeblood, in the verses especially.

It's like a more produced and electric version of "Epicentre" in the chorus.
I prefer "Caldey" out of the two new b-side tracks. But if this song can get relegated to a b-side, then imagine how tight and perfect the album will be?

It's great B-Sides like this and Caldey which make me wonder how 'Futurology' the track even made it onto the album.
