exactly Sue

Rosita - you got to the front row? how lucky ah! I believe your legs hurt you very much after though

okay. I counted everything. assuming I passed today's test and I'm still at the university having my BA exam in the second half of June, and considering after the Danish date is due to happen, then we can think the European tour takes place in June then the possibility of these two colliding is very likely. then it would be a UK gig for me, of course much more expensive, but I cannot stand the thought I wouldn't see them this year.
otherwise if I can afford it would be anywhere in Poland, Berlin and possibly Prague as well (if they play in these places). I was thinking of Denmark as well as there are cheap flights to Malmo from Gdańsk and Copenhagen is about 25km from the airport. and Berlin is only 90km from my hometown.

Not for me - park in the station long stay and I'm home in ten minutes

NIA you have to piss about going into town. Always a horrible experience. Plus the sound in there is absolutely awful.

they can. A-ha filled it 15,000 sold in 2009 and the manics are more popular. The problem with the NME gig was that kaiser cheif fans snapped up the tickets. It was stupid to put them as support.

They won't do a three date london gig accross venues whovever said that. What band plays one venue one night only to move all that equipment to another venue in the same city the next night??

I also hope they don't play Earls Court. I thought bands had stopped booking that since the o2 opened. SHIT venue

Doesn't work for me. 900 dollar round trip?

Aye, they could easily do a three venue London thing, it would just be madness to do it in Large Venues. They also did it 1994...well three nights.

I suspect A-ha sold a lot for the novelty value tbh and I doubt they'd just done a rather lengthy tour of the UK in more reasonable sized venues...but I don't follow A-ha so I could be wrong.

If they're doing an arena tour later this year, but the greatest hits album isn't out until 2012 I don't really see the point, seen as they've done PFAYM promo to death now anyway, what with the fifty million competition winners gigs and full tour, re-scheduled dates which may have given those who couldn't go the first time a further opportunity to see them, XFM Winter Wonderland etc. I just don't see the demand for an arena tour in the next few months.

neither of those are humungous arenas tho. Not known a major band to swap between those.

no idea about 1996 but i thought all the summer dates in 2007 were the astoria unless they did more in June?

I know I can't really see the three arenas thing either, was just answering the three venues bit.

But it was definitely just the middle one at the Astoria in 2007, dunno if it was by choice or just that was all that was available but they definitely moved every night the Summer tour - Winter one was just two nights at Brixton though.

There was an absolute colossus at the second night in Brixton, the guy must have been 7 foot, he was six rows down from me and was the same height as me even with the sloping floor.

.
Just one tour per album and only a handful of dates. I'll ignore what you said about novelty value They released 3 albums in the naughties 2 of which got minimal promotion. You think the manics are badly promoted?

As for the manics.. whoever makes these decisions must have a good idea of sales etc. I very much doubt they'd consider arenas if only a couple thousand were interested. I don't think they'll sell them out completely but they'll sell more than enough for it not to be embarrassing. I hope
