Exactly.

Aw, good point. I've never seen ANY Manics albums here in the States. I got two from a used CD store, and I ended up ordering Postcards from Amazon UK. Then again, the places near me have a crummy variety heh.

That being said...I'm still crossing my fingers for a US tour, in particular, a show in NY

They had them in our local Best Buy up til about two years ago. Found a used copy of Generation Terrorists in a record shop on Martha's Vineyard. As far as I know, they are still available at Newbury Comics. They end up in weird places.

The latest two or three albums are almost always available at Newbury, and at the flagship Newbury there's a ton of less common shit, like Japanese versions of all the albums, and the New Art Riot EP.

I've seen them even in fye and Borders around here though. Not sure if this is true all over the US...

yeah, Borders, Barnes & Noble, etc...usually have copies of a few albums available. Usually Everything Must Go and something more recent than that, maybe Lifeblood or This is My Truth

I've seen them at virgin/hmv in SF. There are none in the local independent record shop here

FYE (ugh) also tends to carry the most recent albums, for what that's worth. If you're lucky they might have a couple of used CDs too.

Weird places indeed! I've been able to find most of the albums in used shops, etc. but that takes a lot of patience. I still ended up buying a few of them online in the end.

I work at a Borders and our selection stinks. Even before we condensed the music section, it wasn't that good heh.

Oh man, Newbury Comics. One of the biggest things I miss about Boston! I'd expect them to have everything, they always have such a variety! I'm still a fairly new Manics fan, so I'll keep my eyes open

If you're trying to buy their back catalog on CD, my advice would be to go to amazon.co.uk, the prices are far lower than the US amazon (or any other US retailer for that matter) and the shipping to the US is actually pretty cheap (especially if you buy a few titles).

Thank you! That's actually working out for me - I got PFAYM and I Killed the Zeitgeist that way. It shipped REALLY quick too, I was surprised!

With the lower pound, I've been buying my new Manics stuff from either Amazon UK or Townsend. Finding it here? Quite rare.
